This was meant to cheer up Mr.B after he had his colon cancer surgery, so I suggested we cook out at the fire pit to get him out of the house.

Backing up a little, I had stupidly tried to do blackened fish IN THE HOUSE, the previous year! The result, as you can guess was disastrous! A smoked filled house, and poorly cooked fish.

So I had him build up a VERY hot fire. (I had brought him the wood to do so, as he was still recovering from surgery,)

I had him set my cast iron skillet on the fire to get it really hot. I went back into the house to fetch the catfish and stuff and came back out.

There was an owl hooting softly, and I was hoping it was an answer to a small prayer that I could pull this off and cheer hubby up.

When that cold catfish hit that blackened butter a brilliant blue tornado came whooshing up and hovered there just for an instant, but it was bright and beautiful!

Mr. B said "Wow! Oh WOW! Did you see THAT?? I just smiles sweetly and said, "Yes, I did!" Then I thanked the owl for carrying my small prayer to the Lord, to cheer up my husband after his cancer surgery. Life, is just so sweet at times...
