Comedian Louis C.K. suggested during an episode of Joe Rogan's podcast that Americans should not ‘sequester’ themselves by caring more about each other than they do about other countries.
The controversial comedian Louis C.K., appeared on Saturday's episode of "The Joe Rogan Experience," where he hammered Americans for prioritizing their safety.
"You’re not supposed to be happy, and you’re not supposed to be safe, I think that that’s the problem is that people expect that-you’re not happy when you’re safe, you’re not happy when you’re secure," Louis C.K. said.

The United States is an association of sovereign(member) states that are united in compact. The Federal government has no authority or jurisdiction over the state legislature and its trespass/security laws that govern their borders. Nor does the federal government have the authority to dissolve/erase state borders. State borders are under the plenary power of the state. Each state exists and remains a sovereign nation state with defined borders as a member of the compact.
Like an HOA... the states are the homeowners and the association is the compact, with an elected board that oversees it’s compliance. The HOA (central authority) has only regulatory authority on behalf of the member homeowners, not supreme dictatorial power over them.
