I’m glad that they all went back to work.
Excited Delirium is a real condition, predisposed to both those of mental illness, and most particularly to those who choose to engage illicit narcotics. The victim fit both conditions. Excited delirium is only recently becoming recognized by law enforcement. It was also of discussion regarding George Floyd...about whom I will not go into debate.
The only thing I saw wrong in the video you linked was the paramedic who failed to check vitals before administering a sedative...besides an obvious lack of departmental policy to deal with such situations.
The paramedic is the one who should have been prosecuted but, then again, the paramedics never checked GF’s vitals right away either. IMHO
If he was delirious and having a panic attack don’t you think a full grown man kneeling on his back, specifically in the area close to his neck, would exacerbate his condition?
He was safely restrained with handcuffs. There was no reason to treat him like an animal. For 14 minutes the cop kneeled most of his weight on his knee pressing into his upper back.
I support the police, I don’t support bad cops.
By the way this is his official cause of death as rules by the coroners office:
“ The Dallas County Medical Examiners Office ruled Timpa’s death a homicide due to the effects of cocaine and being restrained.”
