Hybrids have generally been very successful in the market. They do not use lithium ion batteries and they get incredible gas mileage.
If I had excess money I would invest very heavily in Toyota given the company stance that they are committed to continuing their entire line of automobiles (ICE, EV, Hydrogen, and Hybrid).
This is a recipe for success and expanded market share.
EV’s are struggling and I will go out on a limb here and predict that some US brands are going to destroy themselves by following the mandates of politicians. There is a pretty hard market cap on EV’s AND there are simply too many problems - first and foremost, costs.
Just another way of burning the fuel on board.
