Nancy Pelosi did not allow the Natl Guard on Jan 06 because 1/ she planned what was going to happen; and 2/ she wanted the nation to see - and accept - the Capitol Police as a national police enforcement agency.

I wrote Gov. DeSantis and urged him to disallow the Capitol Police to unconstitutionally set up a surveillance office in Florida - and he agreed! I am not sure if that can be stopped or not - opening an office; spying on citizens can hopefully be curbed.
