War Room was just discussing how the balloon could be scooping up cell phone information near military installations. That would definitely be a national security threat and it boggles the mind that there is no response from the military and gives credence to the premise that China has control.
I really, really hope our guys aren’t considering snagging this FJBalloonXI in the air. First assumption should be that it’s booby trapped. Second assumption should be that it’s carrying something toxic. Bomb disposal/ Hazmat guys should get the first look at it.
Remember the Jap balloon bombs of WW II? They carried picric acid based explosive that was very pressure sensitive. Killed a school teacher and her kids near Bly Oregon, just by touching it. And we haven’t even found all of those yet. When you look at a map of the “found” ones there are gaps that indicate there might be more. The way we stopped the balloon bombs was nuking Hiroshima. This krap should carry a STIFF penalty.
If anything, we should drag a couple guys out of the closest chicom embassy and make them clear it.
This nonsense about a big debris field is industrial stoopid. It’s a balloon with a HOLE in it. It fell STRAIGHT DOWN at maybe 30 MPH. Unless it blew when it hit, the crash site is the same size as the payload. And why did they waste a sidewinder on it? A couple of arrows would have brought it straight down? And they say it was an F22 that fired the shot. We don’t have onedamplane that can fire a rifle shot anymore?
Then we have the Air Force genius that claimed they shut down the balloon’s ability to send pictures. Sure they did? No way unless they damaged it. Think low tek. A Kodak on a timer would have been impossible for an electronic geek to shut down. And if the chicoms dropped the film over a Chinese farm in Kansas, it’s gone.
I have to go buy some higher boots. The BS surrounding this whole incident is getting my pockets wet.
