The jury is seated and the highly anticipated murder trial of disbarred attorney Alex Murdaugh is underway.
Murdaugh has pleaded not guilty to murdering his wife, Maggie, and son, Paul, at the family’s hunting lodge in June 2021.

I don’t know how they ever found a jury to sit on this. It has to be the most notorious case in Colleton County. Maybe even in all of South Carolina since the Susan Smith trial.
If your not familiar with this case you really should go back and start at the beginning.
People just seemed to get dead around this family.
The housekeeper even died under mysterious circumstances in the family’s home.
I hear authorities are planning to exhume her body and do an autopsy.

Apparently this family held sway over the county and officials for a long long time......sounds like kind of a Southern Soapranos.
If this guy really killed his wife and own child.......it doesn’t much more absolutely evil than that.
As I mentioned, it is my wife that follows these train-wreck cases although I do have a story.
About seven years ago I was at a very nice B & B in toney Blowing Rock, NC. At a breakfast table nearby were three very well heeled North Carolina attorneys talking about Carolina politics. They were oblivious to the room acoustics which gave my wife and I their conversations as if they were at our table. They talked about SC items (like Lindsey Graham) as well. The insider dirt was similar to what I used to see back in Missouri or worse.

2 days ago a friend of the deceased son testified he could hear the dad’s voice on a recording at the scene minutes before the murders occurred, which directly contradicts the accused dads alibi.
IMO that’s gonna be hard to explain away.....if I was a juror anyway.
Murdaugh is such a bad guy. I hope the jury gets to hear it.

Honestly if I was a juror I doubt I’d even need to hear all that but that’s just me.

That kid has no reason to lie......Alex Murdaugh however....
