Why do you believe he was supposed to put up a fight? That’s the part I don’t get. It’s hardly possible that “millions” of people went out and got the shot because of his recommendation. He was played, lied to, victimized by those bums just like the rest of us were. Not being a medical expert, he gave in to what appeared (at first) to be the medical experts. He’s not going to come out and say “I was wrong, hope you didn’t get vaccinated because it looks like it’s killing people, ‘kay?” I’m sure he understands that his enemies are doing everything they can to exploit this and has to be extremely mindful of whatever he says and does at this point.
A lot of the folks demonizing him for advocating vaccinations would also demonize him for resisting what appeared to be reasonable medical advice. He was screwed either way - and then there was the election.
A lot of us are more than familiar with the “damned if you do and damned if you don’t” scenario. I presently have a number of rich, entitled, well-known people stalking and threatening me. I am aware that whatever they choose to say about me is taken seriously by the average person, who views me as an extremely negative entity that must be monitored, corrected, scolded, and threatened at every turn - when I haven’t wronged anyone. “Public perception” as one of my enemies has put it, “is going to kill you.”
It hasn’t killed me yet, but you can tell they’re not joking.

Yep. That’s the way I see it and I won’t support him for his taking this stand.
That he changed vaccines 6 months prior to COVID and his 2019 pandemic exercise Crimson Contagion was the final straw, for me.
FR lost its mind when that was done at Wellstones funeral (who was btw, pconsidered a Populist) but it’s okay when we do it. I guess Trump offered to pay for the funeral so all is forgiven. Let’s see if he follows through on payment.
