I believe in compartmentalization.

It is how all military and intelligence operations work.

Those who need to know—know.

Those who do not need to know—do not know.

That is how secrets are kept in large organizations.

There is nothing “crazy” about it.

I guess if the Apollo program was a secret, you might have a point.

You wanna whose space program was a secret? The Soviet Union, that’s who. They didn’t tell anybody what they were doing, or when. We had to find out when something blew up from intelligence agencies, sometimes years later.

Compare the American program. Everything was above board, published, televised, and millions of press and spectators from around the world watched the very public launches into space at cape Kennedy.

Was JFK in on it too? Was that a factor in his murder down in Dallas? How about Grissom, White, Chaffee. Did they fake those guys dying on the launch pad, or did they have to die to keep it real?
