Former President Donald Trump laid pressure on Republicans in Congress not to cut Medicare and Social Security.
Trump said the Washington bureaucrats should bear the pain of President Biden’s reckless spending on “left-wing lunacy,” not senior citizens.

They’ll always be more people demanding to be paid then people putting in!
Agree!
Tactically for now it’s smart.
However, someday soon the ‘elephant in the room’ will be impossible not to notice.
You’re on the wrong website if you like welfare.
And before you make a bigger fool of yourself than you already have keep in mind that I have a husband and nine kids.
Kick the illegals off of both. And eliminate welfare.
If you need to personalize your arguments, you’ve already lost.
You’re the one saying mothers should vote democrat.
Cloward–Piven strategy
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cloward–Piven_strategy
Cloward and Piven “proposed to create a crisis in the current welfare system – by exploiting the gap between welfare law and practice – that would ultimately bring about its collapse and replace it with a system of guaranteed annual income. They hoped to accomplish this end by informing the poor of their rights to welfare assistance, encouraging them to apply for benefits and, in effect, overloading an already overburdened bureaucracy.”

Then I suggest when you turn 66 or when you retire, you just say no thanks to any SS check that comes your way...Send it back....
See post #67 for EVERYTHING that is classified as “Social Security”
Hold up a second.
Social Security was supposed to be a “supplement” for workers in their retirement years.
WORKERS.
It’s going broke because it got turned into a welfare system for illegal aliens, fat people, the disabled, the handicapped, and etc.
If you want a welfare system for those people then ask your local Democrat to make one and to stop pillaging Social Security payments from and for working people.
By the way, you do know this is a conservative site, right?
Since when do FReepers support Democrat welfare and vote buying programs?

Welcome to Free Republic.
Still personalizing. Try focusing. It might help.
Most things twice !!
Like I said...Anything you get from any of this, just send it back...
So you don’t think there’s a single penny that could be saved in any of those massive social security programs, including benefits for transgenders, illegal aliens, etc. Got it, thanks.
Sen Lindsey Graham will loudly proclaim slashing SS is a priority if and only if Trump is nominated for President again. (See, his recent call for a national abortion ban right before the last election.)
I didn’t say that...I think SS payments should be made to people who have worked and paid into program after they retire...I don’t think welfare and monies for illegal aliens and such should come from SS Funds...
I’m at the 3/4 century mark...I have worked since I was 16 years old...I am a Vietnam Veteran...I served my country honorably and with love...I worked while I went to college...
I have paid into SS Medicare ALL those years...
I have EARNED my payback of SS and Medicare...
Let’s put it this way...
Anyone who has worked, paid into SS the whole time and reaches retirement age, decides to retire, SHOULD get SS and get Medicare...
I do agree that the other BS that is taken from the SS should be stopped or placed in other government programs...
Lot of things need to be cut before we even start discussing SS and Medicare.
I stand with Trump 100% here.
And I am right alongside you....
