Absolutely my privilege. You are are one of the few with your eyes wide open and I appreciate these posts.
I have been revisiting Hindu and Buddhist beliefs recently with this topic in mind. There is a whole wealth of metaphoric in my face truth about this topic and concept.
But if I posted any of it here I would be immediately burned at the stake...
Many of the folks studying this topic seriously have been influenced by the psychology/philosophy approach of Ken Wilbur.

Wilber attempts to combine “the best” of many different religious and philosophical views in a “meta theory” which allows for new knowledge based on new data.
It categorizes the different kinds of dogmatism we see in so many areas of human thought—religious, scientific, philosophical etc...

It's been a long time since I read any of the books on Buddhism or Hinduism. I read the Quran about 20 years ago and the Bhagavad Gita back in the '70's...and some other books on Buddhism, but I don't remember their titles. In fact, I barely remember anything about Hinduism or Buddhism.
That said, I agree that there is much to learn from those religions--even Islam--about this matter at hand.
