Certainly the Bushes did some good things. Despite Trump selfishly trying to take credit for killing Roe, it was really 2 awesome Bush picks and a stubborn and selfish RBG that killed Roe.
Trump should thank our Lord in heaven that he was blessed with an opportunity to replace RBG. Instead, he acts like it was something he worked for and accomplished. Unless he poisoned her, he did very little to end Roe.
Trump is now analogous to Bush jr. Both cost America a great deal of life and treasure for the misguided wars. Trump did more damage directly to American, by far.
The Trump SwampJab is his WMD.
Doesn't matter that both men meant well and that both were mis-informed. They still both caused gigantic suffering and both failed in their mission.
HWB, at one time, was wildly more popular than Trump ever dreamed about... then he lost re-election.
GWB gave us EMRs.
Guess how Deep State is finding out who the refuseniks are.
How Deep State is screwing with medical coding and getting away with it.
The EMR regs were in Bush’s Porkulus.
Thank you, GWB.
I agree with a lot of your analysis.
Bottom line, whether WMD and vaccines are to be seen in pejorative lights for their Republican advocates does not matter to the larger picture of choosing lesser poisons in politics.
I am surprised by your RBG analysis. It seems that John Roberts under Bush explains how terribly wrong a SC pick could have gone under Trump.
I am frankly relieved and somewhat surprised that Trump— despite being rather favorable to abortion rights— allowed pro life nominees to advance under his choices.
To say “it doesn’t matter” is plainly absurd and why FR degenerates into counterproductive discussion.
If Kamala/ Joe when re-election, that is much worse for America and all of us.
What is clearly happening in every election is that the 25% of ‘best conservative’ are deciding that the necessary lesser 25% necessary to win are excluded from participation in an electoral win.
That does not make sense. Admitting that Bush was good in his context rather than superimposing on the present is the sensible political realism.Right now Trump is literally the only alternative and its crazy to compel him to admit that operation Warp Speed was a disaster.
he can argue correctly that he did not make the jab mandatory. He can also argue that he had somewhat better positions on this than DeSantis.
