This reminds me of a “bizarre gardening accident” that I had four years ago. I was walking out on my farm to sprinkle seeds for a cover crop on my garden after the first snow in November. I slipped and came down on my right ankle and did a total dislocation of the foot and a spiral fracture. My foot was flopping around. I didn’t have my phone and Mr. Mercat was in town. I dragged myself the length of a football field up the back porch steps into the house to get my phone. I don’t remember much after that but ended up in an ambulance. Major surgery and three months in bed.
