It’s more than Vit C. Citrus peels have a lot of oils, much used in aromatherpy. They are antibiotic, antifungal and considered to be antiviral as well. I’ve recommended to friends or others when sick, put a few drops of lemon essential oil into a cup of hot water, stir and drink, sweetener of course tastes better. Stir while drink as the oil does not disperse well in water. Or mix the oil in honey and take by spoonful.

my husband keeps a bunch of whole lemons in the freezer. Would freezing them destroy the use of them in this manner?
I presume it’s best to use fresh for this?
I don’t think freezing will degrade the benefits of lemon peel or juice.
