I used the camera with the video mini cassette in there set on play and hooked up to the computer. Roxio is SO easy. It does take time. To digitize takes as long playing your tape. That’s why winter was the best time for me to do that.

Yup, there is no workaround dealing with analog playback but a fully recorded VHS cassette run time is 120 mins. Set it and forget it...for however long your program runs

That'll work too - I have a lot of videotape machines from the old days, used to dub from Umatic, Betacam, even MII component but had to dump my "boat anchors" when we moved but I kept the S-VHS/VHS/VHS-C equipment b/c I knew I would need it for personal collection.

Is there any way to do that with 8mm film? I have boxes of our family movies and slides that I would love to transfer to digital. I started having them transferred a few years ago, but it was very pricey.
