RE: think harder....
As a confirmed and proud Luddite I resent people who love technology. This may cloud my usual thinking powers. I humbly beg your pardon.
The satirical SF novel by Fritz Leiber The Silver Eggheads (1974) had artificial intelligence replacing writers including the sf ones.
Part of synopsis:
In the not too distant future, most books are churned out by mechanical “wordmills”. Human “authors” are there primarily to tend the machines and to pose for photographs on dust jackets. In a strike called by the union of human authors, all the wordmills are destroyed in a riot. The problem is, that for all their posturing, none of the humans has enough talent to write his or her way out of a paper bag.
However, one publishing house has an ace in the hole. Back when wordmills were first being invented, a demented neurosurgeon encased the brains of thirty writers into silvery robot craniums. They have been kept in a state of near immortality. The publishers now want them to churn out books for them.

Funny line showing the decline of writing quality due to AI wordmill writers is one woman thought Sherlock Holmes is the one who replaced Herbert Hoover as FBI Director, which a reviewer said is indicative the real life reading public’s level today.

When the British grabbed and destroyed printing presses what did your Founding Fathers do?
Lots of handbills posted on trees and small neighborhood meetings.
We still have a lot of power.
