Also means you cannot buy a new gun, as the 4473 asks if you have used any controlled substance. Answer yes, and no sale. Answer now, and now you have perjured yourself.

Everclear is outlawed in Minnesota. The Germans couldn’t handle that much temptation.

I had my brushes with weed when I was young, haven’t been around it in many years now. Tried CBD oil, gummies and cream, no discernible effect.

I do have a question, though.....why does smoking weed smell like skunk today? it didn’t back in my day. It had a distinctive smell, but it wasn’t skunky.

“Melatonin.. You’ll awaken in the same position in which you fell asleep, fully rested, no tossing and turning and no brain fog to start the day”

Oh, how I wished it worked for me. Toss and turn all night even with 10 mg of various brands.

“It’s one pill, but it has calcium, magnesium and zinc in it.
You can get it at any drugstore like CVS.
It works like a charm.”

I take all three in probably higher doses than you do. No effect on sleep for me. Have taken various molecular forms of each. Still no effect on sleep.

Mostly placebo effect, although I have heard a similar claim for magnesium. Maybe works for some people.

Benedryl is an antihistamine,a second tier anti histamine, I think they call it it woks quickly and reliably but has some serious side effects and should not be taken long term.

The calcium, magnesium and zinc does
not make you sleepy.
Just helps you fall back to sleep
after you’ve gotten up to go to the bathroom.

I don’t know why it works.

Good point. That said, I don’t think delta 8—or 10, for that matter—are controlled substances. Otherwise, they wouldn’t be legally available to the public without a prescription.

Ok I will try that. Is there a certain brand or combination of how much of each?

You get stoned on this stuff and it’s relatives, there is no doubt about that. I first heard about it about a year and a half ago in the local Raleigh media. It is interesting how this has flown under the radar with nary a peep from anyone in authority. I have been waiting for the moral panic to crop up, but now I am not sure it ever will. Even kratom has been more controversial than delta 8/9/10/HHC, etc.

That’s what’s got me wondering. Let’s just say it’s a mild undetectable high. Who’s to stop the entire country from getting stoned all the time? Kids are stoned and mom’s too stoned to notice.

What's been stopping the whole country from getting stoned all the time since the 1700s? Pot used to be perfectly legal. There's plenty of other easy ways to get high, yet somehow people manage to refrain. Alcohol and tobacco have been fully legal for a long time, yet the entire nation isn't drunk 24/7. Why not?

Comparing one kind of high to another is apples and oranges.

Each unique high is like a trip to another place or at least a different mood and mind-set for your place at the moment.

As a former drinker, I can honestly say, I didn't like that place. And I didn't like the toll the trip took on my mind and body.

When you think about it, the pleasure drug industry is just now entering the AI generation. We have only scratched the surface of the kind of inner travel that is available.

As an aside, I'm not condoning or disapproving. My opinion is irrelevant. I will say though that this new age of discovery is filled with danger.

What I am saying is that we are entering a new age of "highs." Many are going to be newly discovered or newly discovered combinations. Some synthetic, some all-natural, and some a blend of both.

To some scientists, consciousness and all its strange iterations are the new frontier.

Yes, true. But I don’t think legalizing it is going to turn the entire nation into high zombies. There’s nothing that special about weed, compared to other drugs (esp alcohol) that leads it to be nearly as big of an impact on society. Sure, you can’t really OD on it, but not that many people are going to imbibe that much anyway. Just like alcohol, sure, lots of people get drunk, but how many actually die from alcohol poisoning? Not that many.

Yes, there’s going to be lots of new and ‘better’ ways to get high, but it’s always going to be like that. You just have to be smart enough to not be stupid. And make sure your kids are smart enough as well.

I'm certainly open to changing the drug laws. They haven't been very effective so far.

My point was there are new drugs on their way (similar to or even derivatives of psilocybin, LSD, and DHT). If these drugs are indeed portals to other dimensions, there will be some new, never-before-seen, experiences.

This will leave a mark on humanity (perhaps good as well as bad).
