Tipping is for paying the waitress extra for attentive service.
For a takeout order, the place doesn’t get the expense of clearing your table, washing your plates and utensils, etc, so why should they expect extra?
If anything, they should give you a DISCOUNT for takeout.
So rather than kvetch, why not just not tip? I really don’t think they expect you to.
