“San Diego is scary landing. The approach is over mountains (always at night or fog for me), then they come right down through the city past buildings and 20 feet over a parking structure.”

Yeah, I was never comfortable flying into Lindbergh.

I've met people at that airport but, fortunately, never flown in or out of it. It does make you wonder "Who designs these things?"

OTOH, San Diego is a major naval base and used to be a pleasant place to live, so I suppose it is child's play for a retired Navy pilot used to flying off and landing on aircraft carriers.
