Knife slide... I got sucked into Cutco. My friend’s daughter was selling them. They were sharp. Cut my finger so badly I needed a few stitches. I mean, I think I hit the blade.. I wasn’t even cutting, it was on a drying rack. The large vegetableish knife is so unbalanced it drives me nuts. Next time I sliced my finger, I superglued it.

Another knife the tip broke off cutting into a watermelon. I bought a knife sharpener, it said it was for serrated edges. Yeah, it takes them off 😂.

I think I want the Henkels that are self sharpening.

However, seriously, I hate cooking. I hate the smell of food cooking, I get sick of eating. I get tired of dinners.

My hubs has a microwave in the garage.. why? Because the smell of bacon disgusts me (I like eating it, I don’t want to smell it) and he loves brussel sprouts and I despise them, so bacon and brussel sprouts are done in the garage microwave. I’ll go out and open the garage door in 30’ to air it out lol.

That’s the set we got as a present. The steak knives are awesome.

That’s odd about cooking smells. That’s one of my favorite parts. Your DH needs a man cave.

I have been using Sabatier knives for about 30 years now. They are nicely balanced for me. I sharpen them every 6 months and steel them every time I draw them. About the hardest knife in the world to get is the Masamoto KS knife. It is the Japanese take on the large Sabatier knife shown below. The 'KS' is for the 'K Sabatier' series knives.

These are not my knives but it is the set and block. Every other month when I wipe down my 40 lb cutting board with food grade mineral oil I also wipe down the knife handles. It keeps the handles looking beautiful.

Petry, I guess bacon wrapped Brussels sprouts are off the menu then.
