I always do it that way. In the ‘90s I worked with a guy whose parents had an Italian restaurant, and he gave me this method.
Also, always TWIRL the spaghetti with a fork. For Heaven’s sake, don’t use a spoon or cut it!
Who doesn’t do it that way?

By the way, boiled eggs turn out better that way too.
