According to Forbes, the average Italian eats over 50 pounds of pasta every year,So, Italians eat less than a pound of pasta week?

The Democrats were mad at all those East German border guards that Ronald Reagan put out of work too!

This is very useful for preppers.
I have also meant to experiment with a pressure cooker and rice, add to boiling water, close the lid, turn off the heat, and wait.

I always when pasta is perfectly done by the sound of the boiling. This way, you have to fool with timing it. Hmm.

Then you will really like #10.
My mother cooks pasta like this. It’s not a new method at all.

If you have not done so already, you might start with an internet search on "thermos cooking" - we've been doing that for years...

That’s how mom cooked ours. Boil, threw in spaghetti, brought back to a boil. Burners off and cover for 15 minutes.

“This all started when Parisi suggested that we should turn the burner off after adding pasta to a pot of boiling water. ‘After bringing the water to a boil, just throw in the pasta and wait two minutes’,”
I always do it that way. In the ‘90s I worked with a guy whose parents had an Italian restaurant, and he gave me this method.
Also, always TWIRL the spaghetti with a fork. For Heaven’s sake, don’t use a spoon or cut it!
