Cardiomyopathy as a new diagnosis can have a life expectancy of 5 to 10 years barring transplant. Myocarditis is an inflammation of the hear muscle and in most cases is transitory. Rarely, it can trigger an onset of
Cardiomyopathy depending on the source of the myocarditis. The cases of myocarditis I am hearing about are cases where most have recovered and have not been developing cardiomyopathy.
