Congresswoman MTG: The Republican House Has No Powers As Long As We Feud Over Speaker Of The House It has very little power regardless. It cannot pass any legislation, it can only act as an obstruction to Democrat legislation. It can shut down the stupid Jan 6 bullsh*t and it can initiate investigations, but in the large scheme of things this is all small potatoes.
The most good it can do is by doing nothing, and it will do that just fine going through this speaker of the house upheaval.

This is absolutely true, and it's why I'm not sweating this very much for now. Let the process play out for another week or two, let's see if it can produce a stronger Speaker, and let the GOP-E types see that the same old crap isn't going to fly anymore.
