Red Herring. She is irrelevant to the House problem. The Constitution says the House shall pass an annual budget using the regular order.
Republican run Houses have failed to do so since the Bush Administration (during the periods they held the House majority).
I would expect that behavior from a Democrat run House but the Republicans have no excuse for ignoring the Constitution.
Republican disinterest in the financial stability of the USA is reason I left the party in 2009. I’ve been given no reason to change.
Interesting isn’t it. Pres Trump wanted a budget. Wanted everything on the table, for everyone to see and to negotiate. The way it’s supposed to be done.
Schumer, McConnell, Ryan, and Pelosi ignored him and forced him into the CR/Omnibus nonsense. They backed him into a corner and he didn’t have enough support in Congress, pretty much ZERO support, to throw it back in their lap. The media obviously didn’t help as they’re an integral part of the Swamp/UNIPARTY apparatus.
Without a massive overhaul and replacing almost everyone in Congress, I don’t see a budget ever again. Too hard for them. Easier to submit your wish list, hope it gets added to the final bill and then it’s forced onto the desk of whoever is President. If it’s a Democrat and most Republican’s they could care less.
