“She’s just pissed because they didn’t get her anything as part of the deal. She’s probably not long for Congress anyway..”

I’ll laugh out loud, which I don’t do much. So LOL. She’s hugely popular in her district, where I live btw. She received about 66% of the vote in November against her Dem opponent.

She outed a bunch of weasel ‘holdouts’ who are secretly running to McCarthy for favors, while pretending to be patriots. I say good on her, we could use more like her.

Name one. There is no non RINO candidate. You’re either on the side of the 20. Or you roll over for Pelosi and the UNIPARTY. That, sadly, is where this country finds itself today.

For argument sake, is there a moderate Democrat? NOPE. That side is getting loonier and loonier as the minutes pass by.

Think about Congress...535 folks.

About 430+/- UNIPARTY/Establishment POSs. Maybe 25+/- folks that actually care and are trying to do the right thing. 20 or 21 of those are in the House, opposing McCarthy.

I was flamed here on FR for doubting MTG when she first went to Congress. My view changed since then. But now I am doubting her again. There’s a lesson that. They are politicians or at best members of Congress without political background. They are human. They are not to be idolized. They are our employees and any good manager knows not to let emotions get in the way of decisions.

There is only one guy that needs to be looked up to. He puts everything into perspective. Trust His plan.

Only 66%? She should have done much better than that.

Sadly, I’m betting that district is starting to get some liberals who want the North Georgia mountain lifestyle and will soon start moving in at a quicker pace.

She may have outed some ‘holdouts’ but she also ‘outed’ herself by repeating that she has no assignments, which she seems to desperately want.

Since you’re one of her constituents, who do you want her to pick? RINO/UNIPARTY/SWAMP McCarthy?

She’s become a disappointment in record time. Wonder what they are paying her off with to become such a loyal soldier for McCarthy. Perhaps she’s become Renee Ellmers v2.0.

they don’t have any power for a year anyway since they and McConnell just funded every hard leftist Democrat wet dream for 2023 ...

Red Herring. She is irrelevant to the House problem. The Constitution says the House shall pass an annual budget using the regular order.

Republican run Houses have failed to do so since the Bush Administration (during the periods they held the House majority).

I would expect that behavior from a Democrat run House but the Republicans have no excuse for ignoring the Constitution.

Republican disinterest in the financial stability of the USA is reason I left the party in 2009. I’ve been given no reason to change.

"Very proud of the Terrible 20."

Dependably correct, as usual, Bray.

The Right wing minority has few chances to flex political muscle. This is one.

It is an illuminating event. The 20 have stopped the show and turned on the lights. Now we see who talks the talk (MTG, Trump, etc) and who walks the walk.

"Everyone knew that come January, the House was never going to be able to pass a funding bill with this chaotic situation."

This is the only argument that makes any sense to me, but that's assuming a govt. shutdown is a bad thing, because that probably would have happened. A govt. shutdown--especially 2 years before any elections-- is not an issue.

Mike Gallagher on Salem radio reports support for the 20 recalcitrants is running at 88% vs. 12% opposed, which puzzles hell out of me why MTG, Trump, Hannity side with the 12%.

The job of Speaker is largely irrelevant, but the concessions these 20% are fighting for are very relevant, imho.

Maybe she might want to ask McCarthy to step aside and she should nominate someone who will be acceptable.

Have not seen these yapping little ankle biters do that yet.

Time to rescind the right for women to vote. They havent the sense to do so.

Interesting isn’t it. Pres Trump wanted a budget. Wanted everything on the table, for everyone to see and to negotiate. The way it’s supposed to be done.

Schumer, McConnell, Ryan, and Pelosi ignored him and forced him into the CR/Omnibus nonsense. They backed him into a corner and he didn’t have enough support in Congress, pretty much ZERO support, to throw it back in their lap. The media obviously didn’t help as they’re an integral part of the Swamp/UNIPARTY apparatus.

Without a massive overhaul and replacing almost everyone in Congress, I don’t see a budget ever again. Too hard for them. Easier to submit your wish list, hope it gets added to the final bill and then it’s forced onto the desk of whoever is President. If it’s a Democrat and most Republican’s they could care less.

Very well stated. Throw in the talking heads like Hannity and the many others in media, and we have a lot of lukewarm, at best, conservatives who claim to be part of the fight. Use this moment to set your compass.

Wow, what childish nonsensical behavior this is.

These are some of our “best and brightest”?

The US Federal Legislature, both houses are proof that cream isn’t the only bovine product that floats... cow pies float too.

McCarthy wants to be the speaker of the house, then this should prove his ability to be it.. if he cant manage to get 7 or 8 additional folks to change their vote for him, how the hell is he going to get votes on critical legislation or other things?

Honestly folks, the arrogance of this is insane.

The son will come up tomorrow, it really will folks, and if the house does or doesn’t have a speaker do you think anyone’s life outside of DC is going to be majorly impacted by either option??

Someone, anyone actually just voice some sanity? I know the media wont do it, the want everyone to think its the end of the world to get the eyeballs, and apparently the politicians don’t want it either they’d rather grandstand for the cameras.

If McCarthy wants to be speaker and deserves to be speaker then he should be able to negotiate with those hold outs and get their vote, so far, he hasn’t been able to do so.

The sun will come up in the morning whether McCarthy is or is not the Speaker and the country will continue to function... can everyone just stop with the nonsensical hyperbole.

For crying out loud, the record on how many votes its taken to get a speaker is 133 votes...

Relax everyone.. just relax. Turn off the TV, log off the internet... read a book, write some poetry, go to the gun range and empty your clip into some targets, write a song, go for a walk, talk to your neighbors or whatever it is that brings you peace.... RELAX

From the article: Congresswoman MTG: "The Republican House has no powers as long as we feud over Speaker of the House."

The American People have no powers as long as RINOs serve their Uniparty Globalist masters.

Oh, I thought they gave it up when a Republican prez gave us: mail in ballots, endless covid cash to stay home, masking, travel restrictions, big pharma billion… I mean our savior vaxxes.
The keys to the country were handed over to Fauci and co… who have been cooking up a crisis to be unleashed at their convenience…. Starting with Obama’s defunding “hyperviralization” in the US as too dangerous.
So where did he approve funding for it?

I’d definitely be ok with the Donald’s guy from Florida, for now.

Outside of him, except for the 20 that are against McCarthy, the rest are clones of McCarthy. Sadly, this is where we are in American politics today.

In this day and age a fighter is Pres Trump. Someone that talks brash and is “mean”. There is no “fighter” that is nice. In Republican politics today, you either fight or you roll over for Pelosi and Schumer.

McCarthy has been the Minority Leader in the House for two years. 9 members of his party voted for $1,700,000,000,000 in waste. Where was he? What was he doing? NOTHING.

I’ve yet to see or hear anyone calling out those 9, for casting their votes, like I have folks calling out 20 for casting theirs.
