Rand does a stellar job of defining the good sans the mention of God. I get where you’re coming from. What you mainly disagree with is Rand’s belief that “MAN IS AN END IN HIMSELF”.

I think Ayn Rand did a superb job of dissecting communism, and the irrationality of its basic tenets. If she hadn't tried to then turn her analysis into a new ("Godless") religion, religion, i.e., "Objectivism" I would not be so critical.
