While the package that McCarthy finally agreed to is good it is not original. Every single item represents damage that Pelousy’s bunch had done in recent times. The reason for resistance to McCarthy was that he went along with Pelousy way too many times and was resisting dumping her krap. He could have gone first ballot but for his reluctance to clean Pelousy’s house. All he had to do was pledge to clean it up but he wouldn’t do it until he needed the Freedom Forum 20 votes.
Just to take one example: Up thru the 90’s the 12 budget departments were debated and passed one at a time-—no Omnibus. The crooked, lazy, aholes would save defense ‘til last then make cuts there if they needed to balance the budget.
Pelousy kicked MTG off all her committees. that was dirty as bleep. McCarthy would not pledge to fix that even. But he did to get elected.
McCarthy has ONE, repeat ONE chance to get it right. He has a few months, no more. If he fails by getting lazyaxx he’s going back to Bakersfield.
