As I recall, while Donald Trump was President, the House passed Obamacare recall 51 times. It could not get past the Senate. Conservatives blame Mitch McConnel but he could do nothing magic

Some how though, Paul Ryan and President Trump gathered enough support to pass the largest tax cut in history. Ryan is hated and reviled because he did not pass all the desired conservative legislation. He accepted the Speaker job grudgingly and passed his lifetime accomplishment tax law

The legislative process is stymied except for money matters.

America is now governed by Executive Order and Supreme Court review of those orders

McCarthy is controlled by or allied with the Democrats.

Any Republican who votes for him is corrupt or compromised somehow.

I don’t think Republicans would vote for Hakeem. Not going to happen.

That was easy. Your rulers, the "donor community", are fine with tax cuts.

First of all, imagine the media environment when the House fails to elect a Speaker. "Constitutional crisis", "National emergency", "The People's business neglected", "Racist Republicans won't vote for the man with the most votes".

Ballot after ballot, Jeffries 214, McCarthy 188, MAGA 33. What is more likely, that 4 liberal Republicans will wilt under pressure and elect Jeffries, or that McCarthy's 188 voters will a) give up, and b) switch to an actual conservative?

There are probably at least ten, maybe more, Republicans more aligned with Jeffries than McCarthy to start with. There are at least 100, maybe more, McCarthy Republicans who will never vote for a conservative.

A man's got to know his limitations. It's McCarthy, or Jeffries.

And therein lies the reason to regard the Jan 6 SCOTUS case conference. A second case regarding mail-in ballots has been added to the conference in the past week.

The conservatives left on SCOTUS have seen the globalists capture the US Presidency and Congress, neutralizing them both by violating their oaths of office to protect our Constitution. These 2 cases have the possibility to drastically re-arrange Congress and the WH.

Kwvin WILL be House Speaker at a House version of Mitch McConnell (And Hastert, Boehner and Ryan). He will cut deals with Democrats to fund more trillion dollar spending bills with no chance of veto from that psychopath Biden.

“If McCarthy ends up as speaker GOP will find HUGE numbers of their base just dropping out”...doubtful.

Most people, those who vote Republican, probably don’t even know McCarthy’s name. Secondly I doubt Republican voters are going to “drop out” as you say over who is Speaker.

How many people do you think there are that actively frequent and support this site?? Now take that number, whatever it is, and that is how many will drop out as you say. I suspect the number is minuscule compared to the number of Republican voters in this country. So the effect of people dropping out as you put it will be close to zero.

I believe it all hinges on who the speaker will be. Do we keep with the milktoast strategy, or do we put in a fighter? What will it be GOP?

This is a dumb flex. The power to do things like harass the everlasting shit out of Nancy Pelosi, to name just one, is with any Committee Chairman, not the Speaker. We want her tax returns, that goes through the Committee Chair, not the Speaker. Just because Nanzi made it seem everything flowed through her, it ain't so, and it ain't in the rules that it has to be that way.

And the Chairmanship lineup is supposedly set in stone in a way that favors what we conservatives want to do, which is harass the everlasting shit out of Nancy Pelosi, et al.

For those who lack the alacrity or 'for those you in Loma Linda', this isn't pro-McCarthy and his gaybro romance with Luntzberace, it is simply that this is a poorly-written article.
