Prophesy is not just foretelling the future; the major component of the prophet’s calling was to warn the people of impending judgment if they do not repent and to repent and turn to the Lord before it is too late.
Daniel prophesied of the end times, with much of it now coming to pass. Jesus Christ told us what to watch for. Much of it is coming to pass before eyes. John (Revelation) tells us what to watch for.
Elijah prophesied famine. Elisha prophesied to Hazael that he would be king.
Daniel fortold king Nebuchadnezzar’s fall with complete accuracy, because the king didn’t humble himself.
It seems that so many of the ‘prophets’ today are simply spouting the obvious to well studied Bible students, and making a nice living at it. It’s the folks that don’t study the Word that are amazed at these frauds ‘prophetic’ abilities, while overlooking their failed prophesies.
Yep. I don’t consider Rabbi Cahn a prophet.
Simply a believer telling those of the disaster coming.
