There are pants sold with a zip pocket on the leg below the regular pocket. I’ve found it very handy for the phone - you can get at it when sitting in the car with seat belt on. When it rings don’t have to unbuckle and do the reach in the regular front pocket.
I have some cargo pants but cannot wear for business so need the front pocket plan.
