I have worked with some excellent engineers form India.. and I’ve worked with a lot that Just flat out stunk.
That’s my experience as well.
Just like any other ‘group’ of engineers, they are mostly average... with outliers, some are downright lousy to be fired immediately, and others that are geniuses that walk on water.
I worked for a very brief time with a Indian [dot] woman S/W engineer.
She was very intelligent and got my legacy system enhanced to dance to my tune in very short order.
I was impressed.
No typical dragged out s/w coding / spec writing drama.
Totally EZ PZ.
Typical ignoramuses and Racists tend to generalize and turn it into a stereotypes.
India is a complex society. You will find enough extremes and contradictions to over-generate and validate opinion of every shade and perspective. Anything you say about India is true and also a lie, and you will get ample proof of it to cite it. You will find whatever you are looking for - good, bad or ugly. Thats why most narratives do not prevail nor endure.
