Sorry, but I’ve trained black jet pilots and sponsored blacks for PhDs in EE...all have done quite well and none need liberal “you need us to succeed” quotas.

Exactly. I blame it on “black culture”.
The bad kind of “black culture”. The kind that is corrosive, divisive, and violent. Thomas Sowell discussed it in his superb book “Black Rednecks and White Liberals”, and how it was oddly descended from the Irish who immigrated and settled in the South.
The negative culture of misogyny. The contempt for education. The flaunting of law. The worship of violence. The absence of males in the family, even when a family structure does exist. The gangster culture. The homicidal rage at being disrespected. And more.
It isn’t that “it just happens” and they have to endure it. Those who subscribe to that toxic mix embrace it.
As you accurately point out blacks have the same tools and capability anyone else of any color has. People like Booker T. Washington, Thomas Sowell, Justice Thomas, Ben Carson, Colonel West, Larry Elder, those pilots you trained, all of them, are stark and undeniable evidence of that.
What is astonishing to me is that in significant swaths of the black community, those men are reviled.
All of those men I mentioned have accomplished so much more than those who hate them, because they do not toe the line on Leftist ideology. They are the anti-’black culture’.
In summary, it is not the color of their skin that makes some in the black community embrace the worst traits of man.
It is the culture they embrace that does that to them. Call it “Black Culture”, call it Marxism, but in the end, it all leads in the same negative direction.
Their ideology.
Their Leftist ideology.
And it is that Leftist ideology that is firmly convinced that because of their color, blacks are unable to achieve on their own merits, and must be “helped”.
