I find it odd that what was once considered normal behaviour is now vilified, and what was considered reprehensible and degenerate is now thought acceptable.
Girls/groupies used to compete for the “big names”, while musicians competed for the girls.
Using “modern standards” to judge LONG AGO behaviour is beyond stupid.
16 in 1970 was totally different than 16 nowadays.....
Big-name musicians didn't "compete" for the girls!
Big-name musicians opened their doors for the girls!
The girls did everything else.
Regards,
Groupie abuse was maybe considered ”normal” but it wasn’t.
It was the breakdown of society that ironically has lead to the same forces now going to prosecute him.
Ha ha. Time to pay the piper.
That is so true. When I was a teenager in the 1970s, 16 was considered ripe for the taking (if they were willing).
Many 16 year old girls back then would throw themselves at rock starts in a heartbeat. They'd camp outside their hotel rooms and practically beg to be taken inside and used and abused. Speaking as a guy, I would have put myself in the service of a Linda Ronstadt or Stevie Nicks if I had the opportunity at 16. Not Chrissie Hynde or Joan Jett however - those girls would have been too rough for me to handle back in the day.
What nonsense for this woman to come out of the woodwork today with that silly charge from the 70s. She's likely in her 60s today.
So glad there is a hell for guys like this.
Was evil then, is evil now. Evil for priests, evil for stars, evil for men, evil for women.
Justice, vengence, is tomorrow, is God’s.
These guys would rape their grand daughter if they fidn’t kill them by abortion first.
