In some USA states, specifically Florida, it is not against the law for 16-17 year old kids to have consensual sex if their partner is under 24 years of age.

I never considered the age of my girlfriend when I first met her. I was 21 she was 16 but she had already graduated High School and was attending Jr College we dated 10 years got married had 4 kids and are still married. I think I might be jailed today.
