its difficult to stay positive when the forces of evil are so strong....

You’re right about that, but it’s why we need to dig deep to remain positive or we fall into the demoralIzation trap. Russian agent, Yuri Bezmenov, said “A person who was demoralized is unable to assess true information. The facts tell nothing to him. Even if I shower him with information, with authentic proof, with documents, with pictures; even if I take him by force to the Soviet Union and show him [a] concentration camp, he will refuse to believe it, until he [receives] a kick in his fan-bottom. When a military boot crashes his balls then he will understand. But not before that. That’s the [tragedy] of the situation of demoralization.”
We can’t ever let ourselves get to the point where we’re demoralized because the natural consequence of that is to withdraw/give up/stop fighting in acceptance of our inability to make change. And then they’ve won. I’m not trying to be a Pollyanna, I’m just warning about the extreme danger of excessive or long-term negativity. The only thing we truly control is ourselves and our thinking and attitudes. We must use that control to resist becoming demoralized with all the inner strength we can muster.
Great post. Hopefully this is where faith comes in.
Agreed. And don't forget, there are lots and lots of people whose purpose is exactly that -- to demoralize. Recognize them, reveal them, and refuse to give them any time or attention.
