Look at Tesla stock. The public realized that Bitcoin was a Ponzi scheme and that EVs are just a hoax.

We are already at peak lithium.

I still don’t understand why sedans are even built anymore. They’re even more useless than a 2WD pickup truck.

Except for hydrogen powered cars even Toyota produced a semi that goes 500 miles before a fill up required and it pulled 87.000 pounds.

EV’s in sink mode sales down 65% this year.

It is the end of the road for mainstream rear-wheel-drive, four-door internal combustion engine cars.

No mention of Mercedes, BMW and Porsche.

When was the last RWD Toyota Corolla sold in the US? (I'm guessing it was in the late 1980s.)

(My second guess is that there will be enough RWD cars with manual transmissions around - new or used - to keep me happily entertained for the rest of my days.)

IIRC the forecast for parts of Texas today was cold...cold...cold. Abnormally cold.I recall a cold snap in Texas a year or two ago in which there were massive power outages thanks to not enough generating capacity.

What will happen in Texas...and elsewhere...when,in a few years, the Rats succeed in shutting down even more "fossil fuel" generating plants and,at the same time time,10% of cars on the road are EVs?

And for that matter...where will the lithium required to make all those batteries come from?

The marketplace has not gone away. When the big 3 go away, it creates a lot of entrepreneurships. Something meets the demand.

We are so used to centralized thinking it is hard for us to think differently.

The best think that might happen to us is the demise of the USA as we know it. (read those words carefully) We have witnessed the demise of a major world power in our lifetime. did the world end? Will it happen again? It has happened often in history. Prepare for the rebuild.

In the golden age of the auto, 1961 - 1972, every car was front engine, rear wheel drive.

Given the tone of this article, I guess my 2004 Chevy Silverado is already extinct. It even has low miles; 139216. Runs like a top!

Just imagine this cold snap when we are all forced in to electric cars in ten years. Can’t charge the batteries because it is too cold. Anyone who has to park outside or on the street is stuck. Even cars that may be in a heated garage can’t drive because the heat for defrost and to warm the batteries sucks up most of the energy. People desperate to plug in their cars will shut down the grid. Oh. bit thanks to the “investments” of our commie government we will all live in “15 minute” cities and can just ride out bikes to go about our business.”
