She passed away this year. This record in 1974 made her a star which lead eventually to her starring in Grease.

Sitting in line to get a few gallons of gasoline in freezing cold weather with the engine turned off because you might may make it to the pump. Now that’s fun! And no heating oil.
Jimmy Carter created an economy like Brandon’s.

Good list!
I remember looking through the KISS posters at K-Mart.
Everything smelled like cigarettes.
The awesome late ‘70s Pontiac Trans Am.
Evel Knievel themed toys including that windup motorcycle that everyone had.
Star Wars everything if you were a kid.
Tall tube socks with stripes.
Beginning of tennis rackets made of stuff other than wood.
No UPC codes yet. Every item at the grocery store had a price tag stuck to it.

Bee Gees started in the 1960s. They had some great songs then (To Love Somebody, I Started A Joke...). Bay City Rollers were a Scottish group.

The 70’s spawned the Vietnam War? The mirror could not even get that right? That's intentional, as the Left wants you to believe that Vietnam was Nixon's War, and not JFK and LBJ's.

I went through BCT with a lot of guys from Mississippi in the fall of ‘69. They told us stories about Hurricane Camille that still give me nightmares. What most forget about Camille is that it killed over 200 people in Virginia from flooding.
