That’s my storm. Buffalo is across the Niagara River from me and we get whatever they get. Nice to finally have a number - 5 feet - okay. The problem with this particluar 5 feet is that there are areas with 0 feet and other areas with 10 feet because of the drifting. The snow blower was of minimum help because the snow is so compacted. It’s a good thing I didn’t get jabbed, so my heart is still strong and can handle the hours of shovelling I’ve been doing every day.
Businesses have been mostly closed for 4 days now, but there’s been no looting where I live. Another 6 inches fell today and we expect 6 more tonight. We can easily handle anything that falls straight down and doesn’t blow around. The temperatures are expected to increase to the mid-40’s by Wednesday, with rain, so we’re in for a major meltdown very soon. That will bring its own set of problems.
I feel for you!
Hope you have a lot of gas for that snow blower!
I was in Boston for the blizzard of ‘78 and we didn’t know where the car was - it was under a 9’ drift..so we skiied down to the liquor store..
