The cabal probably thought inventing social media was a good thing until the truth started coming out. Thousands of fact checkers were fighting a losing battle and then they called in the special agents to tighten things up. Back in the good old days when Walter Cronkite was the most trusted man in America and gatekeepers guarded the narrative this dirty domestic censorship business wasn't needed. Mocking conservatives like Goldwater was usually enough.
