An interesting post, and I’m not disagreeing with you.
It’s a very interesting topic, and we will all find out some day soon.
Just getting back to the original topic, I ask the question:
Could a deceased father come back as an “orb” or spirit of some kind to comfort the newborn son he never met in the flesh?
Nothing I believe (and I am Christian without qualification - Jesus is my Savior and Lord), or have read in the Bible, or have seen written in the responses of other believers here, would say that he definitively could not.
So, yes, it could happen. I just don’t think we humans know enough about the topic right now to say it could not happen.
I know a man who was at a nuclear missle detachment when theglowing orbs appeared at the site and effected the missles. Hwe perceived a very large orb of orangish light hovering first outside th gates and then over the silos. The axiom I work off of: God does miracles; Angels use technologies; there are good Angels and bad Angels. The Bible tells us that satan can appear as an angel of light. I wonder what color his light would appear as, since he is not pure in love?
This "orb" could be something spiritual but we don't know. How does she know the baby is being calmed? The baby will probably be more soothed by the mother stroking it's head and speaking softly than a light shining on it's head.
