On the other hand, your invocation of Genesis 12:3 does provide some biblical basis for saying that the American people have been "blessed" by God. I'm happy to concede to that. Certainly, those nations who've rejected the Jews, cast them off, or abused them, have paid a price over the course of history.
That said, the claim to which I objected was the painter's assertion that God had entered into a "covenant" with the American people. That is simply not true.
I’M NOT SHOUTING AT YOU. I HAVE A LONG STANDING EYE DISEASE THAT FLARES UP OCCASIONALLY REQUIRING THE USE OF CAPS IN ORDER TO SEE WHAT I AM TYPING...MANY ON FR KNOW THIS, MANY DON’T.
I STARTED BY TELLING YOU...
“YOU ARE OBVIOUSLY CORRECT, BUT FOR ONE DETAIL, SUBJECT TO INTERPRETATION.”...
DOES THAT READ LIKE AGGRESSIVE SHOUTING?
NOW, MAYBE YOU’LL READ WHAT I’VE WRITTEN TO YOU.
I HOPE YOU DO.
