Just an observation and not particularly a response to your comment...What's interesting is that when Scientists do this it is a-OK i.e. Sagan, Hawking, etc... But when a Theologian asks these questions they are told to stay in their lane because it's not their dicipline.
Depends on who you ask, of course. I really object to scientists using their scientific credentials in an attempt to bolster their theological opinions. A PhD in theoretical physics does not qualify its holder to pontificate on matters of theology. It's both bad physics and bad theology.

And yes, in our corrupt and perverted popular culture, there is a distinct double standard.
