Henry Winkler was an avid water skiier and so you can rest asssured that his "form" is quite good.

In fact, so good at water skiiing is Henry Winkler, that he performed all the stunts himself for the show, except for the one jump that actually went over the shark. This is because at the time, Winkler was one of ABC's biggest stars and so they were not going to risk him getting injured or worse.
