I didn’t know that the Coinstar machines at the bank don’t charge a fee, either. I’m not sure about my local Wells Fargo Bank branch, though. I went in there last summer and they wouldn’t accept the loose change and told me I needed to put it in rolls. I tried doing that for a few minutes, but I was horrible at it.
Do you have to be a customer to use a Coinstar machine at a bank?
I was being a bit glib- it’s not a Coinstar per se. The small, locally owned bank by me has a change machine and doesn’t require you to be a customer
