We have been using credit cards for years and paying them off in full every month. So we get their benefits (cash back or airline miles) without it costing a penny.

Good for you! It requires very little extra effort and we do this too. And more need to do this and like right now right away. Or we are going to lose cash altogether. How are you going to pay your neighbor back for that gallon of milk they picked up for you from town?

same here: cash for face-to-face payments, CC for everything else, with monthly balances auto-paid ... I get all the advantages of a CC without paying them a penny ... if everyone was like me, they’d go broke ...
