I’m also on the road to getting off all diabetes meds.
My Dr referred me to this guy from Canada. Funny little voice but I’m already wrecking my high glucose numbers.

Basically I eat a late breakfast and am done with dinner by 7. No snacking.
I have not completely removed sugars and carbs but have cut them down substantially.
Only about 10 days in and my fasting sugar ##’s down from the 170-180 range to 130-140. Already had one morning at 103.
Here’s a short YouTube from the same guy that kicked it off for me.
I don't.
How are your numbers looking, now?
How is keto working for you?
Good Thank You. Just had a 7.3 A1C but new doc says that’s fine looking at my history.
How’s your sweet tooth?
you know what I miss the most?....morning cereal....my cheerios knock off was so good.
Thankfully, my numbers for blood sugar and A1c are in the normal range, but at the high end.
I need to move more than I do! Also, just in the last month, we picked up some chocolate dipped freeze-dried fruits, and, unfortunately, I’ve had days of more than my expected two pieces, but I don’t have other carbs, of consequence, thankfully.
moderation in all things....I can eliminate most carbs but I do like to have an apple...
Hope those are dark choc dipped ? Unfortunately I eat a lot of coated nuts w quality dark choc. There are keto chocolates that are fairly good.
I’ve added pomegranate juice to my daily habits. Interesting research there. Oh, and my Keto-ing I’m doing intermittently.
Talked to my new doc about consistent high fasting numbers in the AM (140-160). He has me doing a small non carb or sweet snack close to laying down and seems to help. Thought that an odd suggestion. He’s also ok with some ice cream provided its good ingredients.

A friend showed me an exercise / stretching trick where you grab the rim of the kitchen sink, do squats, stretching, girly pushups with feet and hands in different positions. Also side to side movement.
So now I have a new relationship with my kit sink.
It in Ketosis, I, too, get higher glucose levels, around 108. It is the body temporarily refusing to use liver-generated carbs. It goes away by late morning, and is common.
However, you are coming from a different angle.
