You’ll need a source of power to access any computer.

Thats why i still print many photos of family i take.

On one hand, i recently scanned all of my grandparents photos and other scannable thingees—in case those memories get destroyed, but i also print stuff to have a hardcopy!

Took me hours a day for several months, but I finally managed to scan (and "clean up") all 5,904 hardcopy photos from my old family albums.

The important thing is to properly name the image files! The name should include the date, names of the portrayed persons, and place.

No "Uncle Bob" or "taken at the Old Place!" It should be possible for some stranger decades later to "place" the photo! You might consider also creating a companion Excel file listing all the photos, with a separate column for additional "soft" info like, "Taken at the parish breakfast in the spring of 1958, just after Father Mulligan had been installed. That's our neighbor's son, Ralph Jones, holding the bottle of syrup."
