Once the decent begins in earnest, according to scripture there will never again be the opportunity for mankind to rule. What follows will be a kingdom of God with Christ as king over the entire world.
I believe many alive today will see this soon. It’s going to be hard to accept for some even to the end. Many in Noah’s day didn’t think their world was about to end, either.
As in the days of Noah, so it shall be...
Where have I heard that before?
Oh, yeah:
Matthew 16:28, NIV:
'Truly I tell you, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom.'
What span of time is implied by the statement, "Some of you will still be alive to witness the..."? What would a reasonable person expect was meant by "Not all of you will be dead when..."?
Five minutes? Really?! Would you reference an occurrence likely to transpire in the next five minutes by saying, "Some of you will still be alive?"
How about seven weeks? Would that make more sense? "At least two of you will not have yet died before..."?
How about two thousand years?
Regards,
