In 100 years, we'll have settled Mars, and then, we can start all over in the U.S.M. (United States of Mars). ;)

But, seriously, the U.S. can start again, with a fewer states, just like the few states that started it all.

We can have the U.S. composed of all red states that want to continue the tradition of America, with the same constitution and bill-of-rights, and a voting system that starts and ends on the same day. We could start with Texas and Florida, and then perhaps Misissippi and Arkansas and Louisiana and Alabama/Oklahoma/Iowa/Utah/Tennessee?, and perhaps a few others.
